Inclusive Admissions
Barcombe CE School is an inclusive school where everyone is welcome.
Reasonable adjustments will be made to enable the admission of pupils who meet the criteria of the Disability Discrimination Act 2005. If your child is disabled or has a medical condition, you should discuss the matter with the Head Teacher. Please note, we like as much information as possible about your or your child’s disabilities in order to help us remove barriers to learning and make access for pupils and parents as effective and personalised as possible.
Starting School - Joining Reception
Admissions for pupils who wish to join Reception at Barcombe CE Primary School are managed by East Sussex County Council. You will need to apply for a place as this does not happen automatically when your child turns 4. Applications for children starting school can be submitted and managed via the school admissions area of the East Sussex County Council website. Here, you will also find further information and guidance to support you through this process.
In-Year Admissions
If your child is in Years 1 - 6 and you would like to apply for a school place at Barcombe, please contact the school office. The school manages all in-year admissions and will be able to provide you with information about the spaces we have available and the criteria for admissions. We encourage and warmly welcome visits to the school and will assist you arranging a tour as part of your admissions enquiry.
